Restarting your modem is a fast and practical way to solve many of the connection problems you may have.
To restart the modem, do the following:

  • Modem with an "on/off" switch - Turn off your modem for 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
OR
  • Modem without an "on/off" switch - Unplug your modem, and then plug it back in.
If you have a home networking router that connects your computers to each other, turn it off after your modem powers down. Wait until your modem has restarted before you turn your router back on.
